Try these delicious meat patties with caramelised onions. Put between burger buns or serve with salad and potatoes.
How to make
Add butter, thinly sliced onions and brown sugar to a pan and stir over low heat until caramelised – around 40 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix the mince and spring onions. Add the hot sauce and a generous pinch of salt and pepper.
Using your hands, combine the meat. Using wet hands, form mince mixture into balls and press flat. Put them in the fridge to set for at least 30 minutes or until you need them.
Cook patties either on the BBQ grill or in a frying pan on the stove top. Cook for 5 minutes each side or until done.
